Die Schnittstellenkarte verfügt über einen Asix AX99100 Chip und ermöglicht es Ihnen, ein DB25 Gerät an Ihren Desktop-Computer anzuschließen. Der Parallelanschluss ist perfekt für den Anschluss von Druckern, Scannern, Plottern, Point-of-Sale-Terminals, speicherprogrammierbaren Steuerungen (SPS), wissenschaftlichen Sensoren, medizinischen Geräten oder Oszilloskopen. Die Karte kann auch in Fabriken zur Steuerung und Automatisierung von Geräten verwendet werden. Der parallele (LPT-)Anschluss unterstützt SPP/Byte/Nibble/ECP-Modi und ist kompatibel mit PCI Power Management 1.2 und IEEE 1284 für Geschwindigkeiten bis zu 2,5 Mbit/s.
Der Asix AX99100-Chip ermöglicht außerdem den Anschluss eines DB9 Geräts über dieselbe Controller-Karte und ist mit dem Industriestandard 16950 UART kompatibel. Der serielle Anschluss ist perfekt für den Anschluss von Point-of-Sale-Terminals, seriellen Druckern, speicherprogrammierbaren Steuerungen (SPS), Steuerungen/Automatisierungen in Fabriken, wissenschaftlichen Sensoren, medizinischen Geräten, Scannern und Oszilloskopen. Der serielle (COM)-Anschluss unterstützt bidirektionale RS232 Geschwindigkeiten bis zu 921,6 Kbit/s pro Anschluss, bietet einen 256 Byte FIFO-Puffer und ein neuntes Datenbit. Die Karte verfügt außerdem über einen optionalen SATA-Netzeingang, über den Sie Pin 9 am seriellen Anschluss mit Strom versorgen. Über einen Jumper an der Leiterplatte kann eine Ausgangsleistung zwischen 5 V und 12 V eingestellt werden.
Diese Erweiterungskarte kann in einem PCIe 2.0 x1-Steckplatz mit Full-/Standardprofil installiert werden (abwärtskompatibel mit PCIe 1.1). Zur Unterstützung einer Vielzahl von Plattformen ist die Karte kompatibel mit Windows (7 oder höher), Windows Server (2003 oder höher) und Linux (2.6.X oder höher).
