Der USB-Extender bietet ein kompaktes Design ohne externe Strombedarf und ist so die ideale Lösung für entfernte USB-Kameras, Tastaturen, Mäuse oder andere Eingabegeräte für Umgebungen, wo der Raum für die Installation oder der Zugang zu Netzanschlüssen eingeschränkt ist.
Der Extender bietet bis zu 300 mA Strom (bei Versorgung mit 500 mA vom Hostcomputer), ist vollständig konform mit der USB 1.1-Spezifikation und unterstützt Datenbandbreiten bis zu 12 Mbit/s.
