Die serielle PCI-Karte kann in einen verfügbaren PCI-Express-Steckplatz installiert werden, um zwei leistungsstarke, serielle 16C1050 RS232 UART-Kanäle/-Ports zur Verfügung zu haben. Sie bietet eine bequeme Lösung zur Verbindung moderner oder älterer Geräte mit neueren Computersystemen, die keine RS232-Ports haben. Die serielle Karte entspricht der PCI-Express-1.0a-Spezifikation und sie ist kompatibel mit 1 x, 2 x, 4 x, 8 x und 16 x PCI-Express-Steckplätzen.
Die serielle 2-Port PCIe-Karte ist ideal für Systemerweiterungen bei einer Vielzahl von Anwendungen geeignet, einschließlich Produktionsanlagen, POS-Geräte, Sicherheitsgeräte wie z. B. Überwachungskameras, Kartenleser oder Zugangsdeckel, und für Systeme zur Umweltkontrolle oder Gebäudesteuerung.
Die serielle PCIe-Karte bietet leistungsstarke serielle Datenübertragung und unterstützt Datenübertragungsraten von bis zu 460 kbit/s. Die serielle Karte führt zu einer Verringerung der CPU-Belastung, was zu einer optimalen Leistung des Systems beiträgt und Fehler, wie z. B. Überläufe vermeidet, indem Ressourcen geschützt werden. Der 2-Kanal-UART garantiert darüber hinaus eine reibungslose Leistung, sogar wenn beide Teile verwendet werden.
Die serielle Karte kann einfach installiert und konfiguriert werden und sie unterstützt zahlreiche Windows Betriebssysteme. Außerdem bietet die Karte IRQ-Sharing und unterstützt serielle Plug and Play-Geräteanschlüsse. Das sorgt für eine komfortable, mühelose Installation. Eine eingebaute Halterung mit Standardprofil und eine optionale Halterung mit niedriger Bauform sind im Lieferumfang enthalten.
