Der LevelOne FEU-0812 ist ein drahtgebundenes, nicht blockierendes Netzwerkgerät, das 8 Ports mit 10/100 Mbps Ethernet-Verbindungen bietet. Alle Ports unterstützen Auto-Negotiation und Auto-MDI/MDIX-Sensing, was die Notwendigkeit von Crossover-Kabeln oder Uplink-Ports überflüssig macht. Jeder Port kann als allgemeiner Netzwerkport oder als Verbindungsport zu einem Router, Server, Hub oder einem anderen Netzwerk-Switch verwendet werden.
