The fire blanket is an excellent supplement to the powder extinguisher, primarily for extinguishing smaller fires on the stove, in beds, furniture or clothing. Smothering the fire with a fire blanket is very effective, and requires minimal clean-up work. The fire blanket should be hung easily accessible, so that it can really be useful when needed.
