Weight reduction is another key feature of the G3 motors. The Modified version weighs just 161g, and the Stock version weighs 132g, representing a reduction of 11% and 21%, respectively, compared to their V10 G2 counterparts. This weight reduction allows for better vehicle handling and easier fine-tuning of the car’s balance, which is crucial for competitive racing.
Asymmetrical bearings are employed to enhance load-bearing capacity and minimize friction. The front bearing size has been increased by 26% to handle higher loads, while the rear bearing size has been reduced by 6% to reduce resistance. This asymmetrical design helps the motor run smoother and more stably, leading to improved performance and reliability during races.
Heat dissipation is another standout feature of the G3 motors. The motor housing is designed to expose the stator core to airflow, maximizing cooling efficiency. Large ventilation holes in the front and rear end plates ensure effective heat dissipation, which is essential for maintaining consistent motor performance. For off-road vehicles, smaller holes are used in the end plates to prevent dirt and debris from entering the motor.
The G3 motors are equipped with two types of end plates: those with larger holes for on-road racing models (3.5T–5.0T and 10.5T–21.5T) and smaller holes for off-road models (5.5T–8.5T). This allows users to customize the motor to their specific racing needs. Additionally, the motors feature a disassembleable design for easy maintenance and cleaning, helping to prolong motor life and ensure long-lasting performance.
Mechanical timing adjustment offers precise and smooth corrections, allowing users to fine-tune the motor’s performance for optimal results. Non-slip lines on the rear of the motor ensure the settings remain stable during races.
