Quality materials
The diaphragm can be said to be the most important part of a dynamic driver. The choice of material was important in order to achieve an outstanding sound when using such a large driver. After countless tests at FiiO, a beryllium-coated gasket was combined with a DLC membrane. This not only results in reduced weight, but also in better control over the driver, which in turn reduces distortion. DLC stands for "Diamond-Like Carbon" which is both very solid and light compared to other materials.

350 OHMS
The FT3 was designed with fantastic sound in mind, and to achieve this a 350 Ohm driver was used. Compared to headphones with low impedance, much more noise is filtered out with the FT3, which in turn results in a crystal clear sound with a fantastic signal to noise ratio. Best used with a powerful headphone amplifier such as the FiiO K9 Pro ESS.

Accessories
The FT3 comes with a whole lot of additional equipment. Among other things, you get a leather carrying case that holds both headphones and cable. The cable has replaceable plugs, both with 3.5 mm and 4.4 mm termination. You can also use two adapters: 3.5 mm -> 6.35 mm and 4.4 mm -> 4-pin XLR. In this way, you can easily connect to all headphone amplifiers, regardless of input. Not only this, it comes with 2 different ear cushions. The Leather (protein) ear pads have a balanced sound signature, while the Suede ear pads have a powerful bass boost.
