Battery Disposal Information
Information regarding battery disposal and recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.
Some electrical and electronic devices contain batteries or rechargeable batteries necessary for their operation. These batteries may also be permanently installed inside the device.
Technology Germany is legally obliged to inform customers about the proper disposal of batteries and rechargeable batteries in accordance with applicable environmental regulations.
Free Return of Used Batteries
Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with household waste.
Customers are legally required to return used batteries and rechargeable batteries to suitable collection points for environmentally responsible disposal and recycling.
Used batteries may be returned free of charge to:
- Municipal collection points
- Public recycling centers
- Retail stores selling batteries
- Authorized return systems
Return Information
Customers may also return batteries purchased from Technology Germany after use.
Please ensure batteries are packaged securely and shipped in accordance with applicable hazardous goods regulations.

Meaning of Battery Symbols
Batteries containing hazardous substances are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin.
Additional chemical symbols may appear:
Mercury
Cadmium
Lead
These symbols indicate that legally permitted concentration limits have been exceeded.
Disposal of Electrical & Electronic Equipment
Electrical and electronic equipment must not be disposed of with household waste.
Owners of old electrical and electronic devices are legally required to dispose of them separately from unsorted municipal waste.
Before disposal, customers should remove:
- Batteries
- Rechargeable batteries
- Removable lamps
Where technically possible and safe to do so.
Return of Old Electrical Equipment
Customers may return old electrical and electronic equipment free of charge through authorized collection and recycling systems in accordance with applicable regulations.
Old devices may be returned to:
- Municipal recycling centers
- Authorized collection points
- Public waste management facilities
- Approved recycling partners
Data Protection Notice
Old devices may contain personal data.
Customers are responsible for deleting all personal data stored on old devices before disposal or return.
Technology Germany accepts no liability for personal data remaining on returned devices.

Technology Germany supports environmentally responsible recycling systems and encourages customers to dispose of batteries and electrical equipment properly to help conserve resources and protect the environment.
