Er unterstützt einerseits WPS, für den bequemen Zugang zum WLAN, ohne die lästige Eingabe eines Passworts und andererseits ist es möglich das Gerät in den cAP-Modus zu versetzen, um es auf Knopfdruck in ein zentral via CAPsMAN gemanagtes Netzwerk zu integrieren.
Zusätzlich sind natürlich alle Optionen des RouterOS mit an Bord, wie z.B. Bandbreitenkontrolle, Firewalling, User-Access-Kontrolle und viele mehr.
Das hAP lite classic ist ausgestattet mit einer kraftvollen 650 MHz CPU, 32 MB RAM, dual chain 2.4 GHz onboard wireless, 4 Fast Ethernet Ports und einer RouterOS L4.
