As a distributor of batteries, rechargeable batteries and electronic equipment, Technology Germany is legally obliged to inform customers about the proper disposal of batteries and electrical devices in accordance with applicable environmental regulations.
Battery Disposal Information
Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with household waste.
Consumers are legally required to return used batteries to appropriate collection points to ensure environmentally friendly disposal and recycling.
Used batteries can be returned free of charge at:
- Municipal collection points
- Public recycling centers
- Retail stores selling batteries
- Authorized return systems
Meaning of Battery Symbols
Batteries containing hazardous substances are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin.
Additional chemical symbols may appear near the symbol:

Cadmium
Mercury
These substances may be harmful to the environment and human health if not disposed of properly.
Electrical & Electronic Equipment Recycling
Electrical and electronic devices must be disposed of separately from household waste.
Old electronic devices may contain valuable recyclable materials as well as environmentally harmful substances that require special treatment.
Customers should remove batteries and rechargeable batteries from old devices before disposal whenever technically possible.

Old electronic devices may contain personal data.
Customers are responsible for deleting all personal data stored on devices before disposal or return.
Technology Germany accepts no liability for personal data remaining on returned equipment.
