Continental's Grand Prix 5000 AllSeason TR is the most durable tire in the GP5000 series. The All Season model features an even more durable Black Chili rubber compound, which provides reliable grip even in cold and wet conditions. The two-layer 2/220 tpi carcass structure improves the sidewall's resistance to cuts, while at the same time being more flexible and therefore better rolling. Vectran puncture protection provides additional safety and the Lazer Grip micro profile offers unique grip and reliability when cornering. The tire has a black reflective strip on the sidewall, which improves visibility in low light. The AllSeason is also suitable for hookless rims. Like other top Continental tires, the GP5000 AllSeason is also made in Germany.Vectran is a puncture protection developed and patented by Continental, which is lighter and more flexible and provides better protection than comparable nylon puncture protection. It does not reduce the rolling resistance of the tire. Vectran is a liquid crystal polymer (LCP), like spider web, and is spun from molten Vectra liquid polymer and further processed into a multi-filament yarn.
