Freewell 16 mm Wide-Angle Lens with 17 mm Mount expands smartphone photography with a 105° field of view, making it ideal for landscapes, architecture, and group shots. It captures more of the scene without distortion while maintaining sharp detail and natural color reproduction. The 17 mm mount ensures a secure and stable connection, and the 58 mm filter thread allows compatibility with ND and CPL filters for creative control. Includes lens, case, and cleaning cloth.
This wider perspective is particularly useful for landscape photography, architectural compositions, group photos, and vlogging scenarios where space is limited. It enables the inclusion of more environmental context without requiring the photographer to physically move further away from the subject, making it ideal for both outdoor and confined shooting environments.
The lens supports close focusing at approximately 0.5 meters, adding versatility for both wide environmental shots and closer, more detailed compositions. This allows seamless switching between expansive scenes and more focused visual storytelling within the same setup.
Optical performance is enhanced through Nano Fusion coating, which reduces internal reflections and lens flares while improving light transmission. This results in clearer images with higher contrast, improved sharpness, and more natural color reproduction across a variety of lighting conditions.
A key feature is the integrated 58 mm filter thread, which enables compatibility with a wide range of photographic filters, including ND and CPL options. This expands creative control over exposure, reflections, and overall image character, allowing adaptation to different lighting environments and stylistic preferences.
The lens uses a 17 mm mounting system, ensuring a stable and secure attachment to compatible smartphone rigs and cases. This provides consistent alignment with the primary 1x camera and maintains stability during recording.
Included in the set are the 16 mm wide-angle lens, a protective case, and a cleaning cloth.
