ELEGOO Rapid PLA+ Filament — White, 1 kg spool (1.75 mm ±0.02 mm). Rapid PLA+ combines easy printability with markedly improved mechanical performance: tensile strength ≥60 MPa and elongation around 19% deliver parts that resist cracking and absorb impact far better than standard PLA. Precisely wound and vacuum-sealed with desiccant, the spool feeds smoothly and resists moisture-related defects. Optimized melt and flow properties support high-throughput printing while preserving surface finish. Use for functional prototypes, jigs, housings, large display pieces and any print that needs stronger, less brittle behavior without complex print-room requirements.
Printing guidance and recommended settings:
• Nozzle temperature: 200–230 °C (start ~205 °C and tune in 5 °C steps).
• Heated bed: 50–70 °C for reliable first-layer adhesion (glass/PEI/BuildTak).
• Typical print speed: tune by geometry and printer capability; Rapid PLA+ supports higher-throughput workflows but balance speed vs. finish (common range 30–100 mm/s; very coarse prints may use larger nozzles and faster settings).
• Nozzle: 0.4 mm recommended for general work; 0.6–0.8 mm for faster, coarse prints.
• Cooling & retraction: moderate part-cooling for detail; reduce cooling for large solid parts to boost interlayer strength. Adjust retraction to reduce stringing at higher speeds.
Best practices:
• Run a short calibration print when switching spools to confirm optimal temperature, retraction and cooling settings for your printer.
• If you observe popping, bubbles, or excess stringing, dry the spool (e.g., 40–50 °C for a few hours) and re-tune temperatures/retraction.
• Store spools sealed with desiccant in a cool, dry place to preserve performance.
Applications:
Ideal for functional prototypes, fixtures, housings, mounting brackets, larger display models and any application where increased toughness and better impact resistance are required without sacrificing the simplicity of PLA printing. The vacuum packaging and precise winding reduce jams and make spool handling reliable for production-like workflows.
