Der TL-WN781ND wurde entwickelt, um eine drahtlose Verbindung von einem Server oder dessen Backbone zu einem Desktop über die PCI-Express-Schnittstelle herzustellen. Der Wireless-Lite-N-PCI-Express(x1)-Adapter TL-WN781ND ist kompatibel zu den PCI-Express-Slots x1, x4, x8 und x16.
Der TL-WN781ND unterstützt die gängigen Standards IEEE802.11n, 802.11g und 802.11b. Damit ist sichergestellt, dass die Karte problemlos mit 802.11b/n/g-Geräten betrieben werden kann. Basierend auf dem IEEE-Standard 802.11e unterstützt die Karte WMM. WMM bietet QoS (Quality of Service) und priorisiert so den Datenverkehr. WMM Power Save sorgt für einen geringeren Energieverbrauch.
Der TL-WN781ND verfügt über eine QSS-Taste. Über diese wird eine sichere und verschlüsselte Verbindung zu einem WLAN-Router bzw. Accesspoint hergestellt. Die externe und austauschbare Antenne kann verschiedenen Umgebungen entsprechend flexibel ausgetauscht werden. Das Gerät wird mit einer CD ausgeliefert, die Ihnen beim Einrichten der drahtlosen Verbindung behilflich ist.
