Der SATA-IDE-Adapter besteht aus einer Ganzmetallkonstruktion, was ihn sehr widerstandsfähig macht, und ist vollständig kompatibel mit den IDE-Festplatten bis zu ATA-133 (133MB/s).Dank der einzigartigen Konstruktionsweise lässt sich der SATA/IDE-Adapter ganz einfach auf eine IDE/ATA-Festplatte oder in einen SATA-Dockingschacht setzen, um schnell und einfach auf Daten von älteren Festplatten zugreifen zu können. Weiterhin dient der Adapter zur Installation von IDE-Festplatten in Desktopcomputer, die ausschließlich mit SATA arbeiten oder für alle sonstigen Szenarien, in denen eine IDE-Festplatte an einen seriellen ATA angeschlossen werden muss.
