Zur Absicherung der verbauten Hardware und des Netzteils selbst, wurden die Netzteile der GPS-Serie mit insgesamt fünf Schutzschaltungen ausgestattet (OPP, SCP, OVP, OCP und NLP).Die gesamte GPS-Serie ist mit einem laufruhigen 140 mm Lüfter und einer intelligenten Lüftersteuerung, kurz IFC, ausgerüstet. Die IFC sorgt dafür, dass der Lüfter des Netzteils erst dann mit der Kühlung beginnt, wenn die Innentemperatur des Netzteils 65 °C überschreitet. Unterschreitet die Innentemperatur 65 °C, wird der Lüfter wieder in den Ruhezustand versetzt - so wird der Geräuschpegel des Netzteils extrem niedrig gehalten.Auch bei der Anschlussvielfalt wurde ein Auge auf größtmögliche Effizienz gelegt und bis auf den 20+4Pin Anschluss alle anderen Kabelstränge als Flachbandversion ausgeführt - spart Platz und Zeit beim Verlegen. So stehen dem GPS-800 unter anderem vier PCIe 6+2Pin und sechs S-ATA Anschlüsse zur Verfügung.
